The Australian selectors are in quite a dilemma ahead of the Ashes this year. They would like to select youngsters Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus on the strength of their performance in South Africa in March, a series which they went on to win 2-1. However the return of players like Brett Lee and Stuart Clarke poses quite a question.

Review of third and final One-day International played between England and West Indies at Edgbaston on Tuesday 27.05.2009. Matt Prior scored 87 off 86 balls, Owais Shah hit 75 off just 65 balls and captain Andrew Strauss made 52, as England posted its highest ever ODI score at Edgbaston. England made 327 runs for 8 beat Windies by 58 runs.

Film stars of India are one of the biggest brand ambassadors for promoting the cause of the cricket. Even during the course of shooting and in outdoor shoots, cricket is the favorite time pas for the stars. Besides, they have used the platform of cricket to work for cause of various charitable efforts as well. The good will that has been generated by the Indian premier League all across the world, more so in India, as also owing to the presence of three film stars as owners of franchisee in the IPL, the film fraternity is also trying to chip in, in a big way for the cause of charity.

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting was reported in the cricket news as saying that he does not know where it is that Brett Lee and Stuart Clark currently feature in the pecking order of the Australian team. There is seemingly an abundance of available talent who is thought to fare well in English conditions; and there is also the added fact of Brett Lee’s injury and it is not know if it has healed completely.
